One of the coolest things I found was that Marshall Nirenberg learned that had he not run into Michael Sela, who "was the only person in the world" who knew the solution polyphenylalanine dissolved in, he still might be working on the problem today. There were many people who Nirenberg credited with finding the nucleotide sequences of RNA codons and without each persons specific area of expertise this feat may have never come to fruition. </ins>

The genetic code creates proteins and their function is determined by their structure. DNA sequences have been manipulated over time from the very first single celled mass to produce all the abundance of biomass inhabiting the planet. Computer code is responsible for all computations and programs that we utilize on a daily basis. Both computer code and genetic code breath life into the final product </ins>

To answer the question of what parts of the readings I did not understand the most, I found that the readings from the Genomes 2nd Edition were more difficult to understand content-wise because of the various topics covered; however, the figures managed to clear up some preliminary confusion from the reading. To answer the question of what parts of the readings I did not understand the most, I found that the readings from the Genomes 2nd Edition were more difficult to understand content-wise because of the various topics covered; however, the figures managed to clear up some preliminary confusion from the reading. In addition, the Kaji and Kaji article (which was more like a experimental results section of a larger experiment) was difficult to follow because of all the genetic code jargon, but I did manage to understand the fact that the authors were responding to Nirenberg's experiments and his writings.
