Journal Week 7 - Nicole Kalcic

Electronic Journal
As Eddie noted in his journal, he "did most of the cleanup and setup in class on Thursday when Dondi was teaching us how to setup the API and exactly what to do. [He] followed his steps and pretty much copied his code from his ajax starter page". Over the weekend, I met with Eddie and he filled me in on what I missed during class on Thursday and what he had accomplished so far. After showing me everything Dondi went through, Eddie and I looked at the checklist of things to fix that Dondi left on our talk pages. It was all relatively simple, yet important, cleanup steps that put us in a better position to finish the Week 7 assignment. We had trouble trying to fix the pills that originally contained the IDs. Apparently Dondi told the class that it was difficult to access the data within the pills because they aren't obviously labeled. Eddie went ahead and finished that part on his own, as we had limited time together. He explained to me over that he made the links colored so that they are easily accessible if someone needs to copy the ID for their own use. We then talked about getting the labeling to work. Eddie thought it would be interesting to use a tooltip to display the source of the ID. He dealt with that, and I rewrote the references and then sent them over via email. They were added to the site, which was then uploaded to the wiki.
