Preparing to Work

In class, my partner Dina Bashouraand I decided to go with the gene ADH1 because of its purpose in alcohol fermentation. Furthermore, we decided to complete our assignment through the use of FaceTime on Sunday, September 24th, 2017. Dina would perform the research necessary to fill the page with content, and I would develop the page itself.

Before we met on FaceTime, we did some organization of how we wanted the page to look and how we wanted to display our content. We decided to go with a top-down style, with most of the information being displayed in an accordion. This idea came from inspecting the Bootstrap documentation, in particular the following page:

https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.0/components/collapse/

When it came to importing content, we decided that Dina would send me the text that she compiled on her computer via facebook, and I would paste that content into the HTML.

Setting up the Page

The first thing I did to set up the page was create a title that would display the name of our gene, no matter where in the page you were. I used the following page to figure out how to set it up :

https://v4-alpha.getbootstrap.com/components/navbar/

Shortly after, I was able to get the template for the accordion set up on the page. This was done using assistance from the link in the link from the "Preparing to work" section. Then, I created an accordion necessary for each of the questions.
