The Genetic Code

Reading frames (+1), (-2), and (-3) are considered open reading frames because they do not have a STOP codon.

(+1) Frame

(-1) Frame

Typically with the translation of RNA to amino acid, the translation would stop when the "STOP" sequence is reached.
