To begin this assignment, Quinn and I chose our favorite gene during class. We searched on the SGD database by clicking on the function tab and then selecting all phenotypes. I was interested in genes that helped improve fitness so I looked into that feature and found ADA2. I thought it would be a good gene to look out since we had previously talked a lot about transcription and this gene is involved in that.
