Improvements on our Favorite Gene
Electronic Laboratory Notebook
- We changed the originally uploaded .zip file so that all relevant files such as the .html file and images. We plan to upload it as a folder now, rather than just the html page.
- Changed the name of our files so that they did not start with any capital letters.
- modified our images so that the were in our uniform language.
- Loaded the new folder into Atom and changed the source file from the URL to the new and improved file in our folder.
- Changed links of genes from which went to the homepage and redirected them to the gene page.
- Corrected reference links.
- Elaborated on the details between the databases we used.
- For spacing reasons, we placed our webpage in a container to create more space around the webpage itself.
- Added in text citations for all content that needed referencing.
- Installed node to augment the terminal.
- Attempted to make the page more aesthetically pleasing by applying flex and grid mechanics.
- Applied the collapse/button mechanic to both our DNA and protein sequences.
- Added the "figures" mechanic to our website.
