		+	** No I was not of this particular case before watching this video - I have actually never heard of any case that has been fraudulent when it pertains to research in the medical field.
		+	* What are your initial reactions to hearing about this case?
		+	** My initial reactions were that I was happy that there was research available that would help cancer patients' survive longer; however, I was appalled in hearing that most of the data was negligent and not viable data that proves the research can help at all. It comes from a place of greed to create a facade that progress is happening and the study is working, when in fact, it hasn't for a long time.
		+	* What role did data sharing play in uncovering this fraud?
		+	** Data sharing among other universities and researchers/professors allowed for the truth to surface. Without it, the patients would still be undergoing these procedures/take these medications and Duke University would continue to provide funding to a research study that does not have enough proven data. Most importantly, these are peoples/patient's lives at stake over this study - their hopes aren't to necessarily "improve" their way of life, but to cure their cancer.

Even though the data was vast and potentially took a long time to look through, the medical community was fortunate to have people like Coombes and Baggerly to discover these types of scandals.
