Purpose
- The purpose of this assignment was to learn how to effectively use Microsoft Access in Office 360 in order to get familiar with a regional database and learn how to input, analyze and edit data.
Methods/Results
The video firstly introduced us to Access where I learned the basics of Access such as how to store and track information and why Access was a better option than a spreadsheet such as Excel. The video then walked us through all the different templates that Access has a why they would be used. Then, I began entering information on a preset template and learned how to create "tasks" and edit and add entries. The tutorial then went into showing me how to create a new database where I learned how to enter and organize data from Excel. Lastly I learned the different methods of retrieving data and why this is important when there are multiple datasets.
