FDA Drug Database

Purpose

  • To learn the benefit of using Microsoft Access for data organization as opposed to Excel.
  • To learn how to create a database with large amounts of data.
  • To create personalized data queries.

Methods

  1. Import of Data onto Computer
    - Save to T-drive
    • Unzip file:
    - Right-click on downloaded zipped file, click "7-Zip", click "Allow Access Here"
  2. Create Drugs Database in Microsoft Access
    • Open Microsoft Access 2016
    • Import Data:
    - Click file
    - Open Wizard
  3. Create Query
