Feedback on Week 1 Assignment
I am posting the feedback on your Week 1 assignment here.
- Thank you for submitting the bulk of your assignment on time.
- All of the items listed in the assignment were completed except for the following items noted below. You have the opportunity to make up the points you lost on your assignment by making the requested changes by the Week 3 assignment deadline.
- Your snail mail address is missing from your user page. If you do not have an LMU mailbox, you can use the Department of Biology address.
- What are your career interests and goals?
- When describing your independent research, say the dates like you would for your work experience.
- You wrote something in the summary field 47 out of 71 times (66%). The number of saves tells me that you are saving incrementally, early, and often, which is great. However we are aiming to write something in the summary field 100% of the time, so you have some room to improve on that.
- Please remove the category "User Page" from your user page.
- A link to an external website is missing from your user page.
- You need to use three levels of headers on your page; you are only showing two so far. By convention, we don't use the single "=", but start at the double "==". So you need "==", "====", and "====". Don't skip levels.
- For your numbered list, you used actual numbers (1, 2, etc.). The proper way to make a numbered list is just like a bulleted list, but using the "#" sign instead of "*". Don't skip lines in between.
- Because your category is also on your template, your user page has redundant code for the category. Since you are invoking your template, you did not need to add it manually to the user page.
- In your Acknowledgments section, please use the exact wording of the Academic Honesty statement.
- You are also missing a References section. Even when there are no other references, you need to cite the assignment page using the APA format for a web site reference.
- We will be using Denning's principle of communication in this class as you guys work on teams for the final project!
