A Linkedin Learning module was Was completed on September 24th, 2019. Purpose
This week, substance data from the FDA Drug Database was used to practice working with Microsoft Access. Navigation through the MS Access is crucial for the completion of this course.
Methods for Creating a Database
- The FDA Drug Database was downloaded from the FDA's website. This data was received as a .zip file and was decompressed for use of its contents.
- Microsoft Access was opened and a blank database was used as a starting template.
- Plain text files (.txt) were uploaded to MS Access. For this assignment, three files were used: ActionTypes_Lookup.txt, ApplicationDocs.txt, and Products.txt.
