Our Favorite Gene Website
Notebook
- I found our favorite gene by reading some of the blog posts on the SGD website. I thought the HSF1 gene looked interesting and my partner agreed so we chose that. I recorded the necessary information about this gene from all four databases on a Google doc to share with my partner.
- Parts of the description of the gene were things that I didn't understand, so I had to look up what they were to write the summary of the gene.
Acknowledgements
I worked with my homework partner, Arash Lari on this assignment. I mostly worked on the biology side (finding information on the gene) while he mostly worked on the computer side (putting the information into a website). We both explained what we were doing to each other sow e could understand our website entirely.
